Utah Rural Opioid Healthcare Consortium

Southern Utah University has received a federal grant from HHS to create a rural consortium with entities working on the opioid use disorder in Utah. Three of the nation's most vulnerable counties, Carbon, Emery and Beaver reside in the geographic region served by the Utah Center for Rural Health (UCRH) and an application for the grant was submitted in the summer of 2018. Beginning in the Fall of 2018, UCRH and the Four Corners Behavioral Health Services will begin to collaborate with local providers to identify gaps and enhance services in the affected area.
