T-Bird Tales: SUU Alumni History Project

The Project

Every T-Bird has a tale, and SUU wants to hear yours!

Southern Utah University invites all alumni to participate in the creation of an oral history publication -- T-Bird Tales -- that will celebrate the impact SUU has had on our lives and who we are today, as well as collect memories that bring the SUU experience to life. We are interested in your reflections, stories and tributes, and we hope that this endeavor will help to preserve SUU's history for generations to come

Have You Moved?

As part of this project, we are also taking this opportunity to help make it easier for you to stay connected to Southern Utah University. Publishing Concepts (PCI) will help us collect updated contact information from those of you who may have moved and inadvertently lose touch with your alma mater.

Your Story

What Southern Utah University story will you tell? What memory is the most special? It can be serious or lighthearted, a heartfelt tribute or with a bit of humor. The experiences of SUU alumni are unique and the variety is welcomed.

  • What made you choose SUU?
  • Did a professor or staff member have a profound impact on your life?
  • Have college connections developed into lifelong relationships?
  • How has SUU impacted your career success, relationships, and/or life after graduation?
  • When you think back on your time at SUU, what makes you smile?

PCI Partnership

Southern Utah University has partnered with Publishing Concepts (PCI) to gain access to its experienced, trained staff. PCI associates will listen to your stories and assemble the information into a publication. To help you stay connected to Southern Utah University, PCI will also verify and update contact information if you have moved or recently lost touch. Please note that we have only shared your contact information with PCI in conjunction with this project. We have NOT sold your personal information or otherwise used it for outside marketing purposes.

Cost

There is NO cost to share your story, and we invite all alumni to participate. If interested, you will have an opportunity to reserve the publication as a hardbound book or as a digital collection.

Participation

PCI will contact SUU alumni directly through postcards, emails, and phone calls to encourage participation. The final publication will be delivered in book and digital formats in July 2022 to purchasing alumni.
