Beginner Pickleball

Learn why pickleball is a popular recreational activity for all ages. Class members are not required to be athletes, and can be anywhere from ages 14 to 80. Learn to serve the ball, basic grip, forehand, and backhand hits with various strategies and rules. This class will get you out of the house, active, and meeting new friends.

This three-week class meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00-7:00 pm. Course location will be at the indoor gymnasium of the SUU PE Building. Registration deadline is September 9.

Instructor: Sandy Bryant

Instructor Bio

Sandy Bryant is a professor of exercise science at Southern Utah University and has a passion for pickleball. Sandy has played for 15 years and has taught at SUU since 2010. She has actively participated in many pickleball tournaments throughout the year, and has been the champion of many of those tournaments. Sandy is also a member of the Cedar City’s pickleball group.
