Soap Making

Spend time with an experienced soap-maker and find out how good the gentleness of handmade soap is for your skin. By learning to use the proper mixture of oils and lye, correct processing and handling, you’ll know how to make a safe product with wonderful moisturizing qualities. The soap you’ll produce in class will be made with lye, but the end product will not contain lye due to the chemical reaction that occurs when combining lye and fat or oil.

Explore scents and possible ingredients to make a creation all your own. Make a one-pound batch to take home. A perfect idea for holiday gift giving.

This 1-day class meets Monday from 6:00-9:00 pm. All supplies are provided. Registration deadline is October 28.
