Instructor Bio

Byron Casper

Byron Casper is the son of legendary Billy Casper, whose career includes 51 PGA Tour victories, including the 1959 and 1966 US Open and the 1970 Masters Tournament, among other awards.

Byron’s love of golf began early while spending time with his father and watching him compete. He attended the Golf Academy of America, worked as a senior PGA Tour representative for Carbite Golf, and was the player liaison for The International and International PGA. He also served as head club fitter and teaching professional for Heritage Golfing Society of St. Andrews in Scotland.

In 2007, Byron moved to Utah and became the first golf professional with GOLGTEC Utah and a certified coach and Master Club Fitter for all major golf brands. Byron has published two books on golfing, and is actively involved in The Billy Casper Youth Foundation “Billy’s Kids,” a youth golfing charity. Byron’s philosophy is simple; he believes in helping his students understand their own swings and how he can help to make them the best golfers they can be with the minimum amount of changes.
