Food Resources

The campus HOPE (Helping Our People Eat) Pantry
Located inside the SUU Community Engagement Center (across the street from the Music Bldg., same street as campus housing). Open 8 am-5 pm, Monday through Friday for once per week use. Easy to use! Enter your t-number, select the food and toiletry items you need.

Iron County Care and Share
Monthly food boxes, weekly pantry pick-ups. Appointment needed, make one online, https://www.careandshare-ut.org/programs-services/online-appointment/ or by calling 435-586-4962.

SNAP Benefits
SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) provides qualifying students food spending money loaded onto a debit-type card that you can use to purchase grocery items at stores.

Due to temporary program adjustments, you qualify for SNAP benefits if:

  • You have an SUU work study job

       OR

  • The expected family contribution (EFC) based on your FAFSA application is 0

You may also qualify based on your application, if you reside in Utah and can provide an in-state driver’s license, rental agreement, or utility bill

Rent Resources

Qualified individuals and households may be eligible for assistance including current rent, three months of prospective rent, past-due rent, some fees, security deposit, utilities, and internet service. Struggling renters can file their applications at rentrelief.utah.gov
