COS Annual Research Symposium
The Walter Maxwell Gibson College of Science holds an annual Research Symposium each fall. This provides an opportunity to showcase student-faculty research in the college. In progress, as well as more complete, research presentations are invited. This is a stepping-stone opportunity to prepare for future presentations at such places as Utah Conference on Undergraduate Research (UCUR), Utah Academy of Sciences, Arts & Letters, Festival of Excellence. Inter-departmental collaborative presentations are particularly encouraged. Both poster and oral presentations are welcome.
When & Where:
- 2023 -Wednesday, November 8, 2022 in the Hunter Conference Center
- 2023-Keynote Speaker: TBD 5:00pm
- Poster and Oral Presentations: Beginning at 5:45
Abstract Guidelines:
- Deadline for Abstract Submission is October 15th.
- Abstracts must be 250 words or less.
- Poster dimensions may be up to 30” tall and 40” wide. Posters are due by November 1st and must be emailed to cos_deansoffice@suu.edu. Posters must be in a PDF file format, and must not have a black or dark background or the poster will be returned and you will be asked to edit/resubmit.
- Oral presentations are 15 minutes (2 minutes introduction & preparation, 10 minutes for presentation, 3 minutes for questions & answers) A TV cart or projector will be in each room, please bring your presentation on a flash drive.
