Clinical Documentation

ALL clinical documentation for Fall Semester 2017 (this includes any documentation expiring August 22, 2016 - December 8, 2016) must be updated and turned into the office manager by noon on Monday, July 11, 2016.  Paperwork can be hand delivered or mailed to SUU Department of Nursing, Attention: Teresa Higbee, 351 West University Blvd., Cedar City, UT 84720 or e-mailed to higbeet@suu.edu

PN and RN Licensing

Application Process 

1. RN Candidates, Request an SUU Transcript from "My Portal", select "After Degree is Posted" and send to doplbureau7@utah.gov.
    PN Candidates, pick up a Letter of Equivalency from the Department of Nursing after passing the PN-Predictor (to be enclosed with your application to DOPL).
2. Register and pay Pearson Vue.
3. Once transcripts are sent (or PN-Letter of Equivalency is obtained), send to Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL) the completed application, required fee and completed fingerprint cards.

(Please note, test must be taken within 30 days of DOPL receiving application!

Please note: PN assessment exam for SUU nursing students (must complete level 2 successfully) will only be offered twice a year; once in May and  December. Next exam will be on Friday, December 16, 2016, 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., SC301. Fee for exam is $50 for proctored assessment (this price includes practice exams for a limited time). Students must pay and pre-register through the nursing office no later than Noon on November 11, 2016 (fees are non-refundable and are subject to change). Contact the Nursing Office for additional information. Students can pay on-line. LPN Predictor (Bring receipt to office after paying).

Level 1 Fall 2016

ALL CLINICAL DOCUMENTATION IS DUE TO TERESA BY NOON ON MONDAY, AUGUST 1, 2016

Register for the following NURS courses: 3120, 3130, 3140, 3160 and one of the 3135 sections. You must be flexible – there will be class or clinical experiences everyday; Monday through Friday, in this first semester.

Classes are Mondays and Tuesdays (check the posted schedule); Clinicals/Labs are on Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays (varying times depending on group)
