Clinical Documentation

ALL clinical documentation for Spring Semester 2020 (this includes any documentation expiring January 9, 2020 - April 17, 2020) must be updated and turned into the office manager by noon on Wednesday, December 18, 2019. Application Process

  1. RN Candidates, Request an SUU Transcript from MySUU Portal, select "After Degree is Posted" and send to doplbureau7@utah.gov.
    PN Candidates, pick up a Letter of Equivalency from the Department of Nursing after passing the PN-Predictor (to be enclosed with your application to DOPL).
  2. Register and pay Pearson Vue.
  3. Once transcripts are sent (or PN-Letter of Equivalency is obtained), send to Department of Occupational and Professional Licensing (DOPL) the completed application, required fee and completed fingerprint cards.

Please note, test must be taken within 30 days of DOPL receiving application!

NCLEX Examination Registration

Please note: PN assessment exam for SUU nursing students (must complete level 2 successfully) will only be offered twice a year; once in April and December. Next exam will be on Monday, April 27, 2020, 9:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m., SCA 011. Fee for exam is $80 for proctored assessment or $99 for proctored assessment and Practice Exams. Students must pay and pre-register through the nursing office no later than Noon on March 6, 2020 (fees are non-refundable and are subject to change). Contact the Nursing Office for additional information. Students can pay LPN fee online (Bring receipt to office after paying).

Spring 2020: Clinical Documentation is due to Teresa (SCA 108C) by 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 21, 2020.

Register for the following NURS courses: 3120, 3130, 3140, 3160 and one of the 3135 sections.
You must be flexible – there will be class or clinical experiences everyday; Monday through Friday, in this first semester.

Classes are Mondays and Tuesdays (check the posted schedule); Clinical/Labs are on Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays (varying times depending on group) and one online course.

First week of school (Thursday, 01/09/2020 - Friday, 01/17/2020) schedule:

Classes are: Monday, 0900 - 1150 in SCA 106 and Tuesday, 0800 - 1150 in SCA 011 and 1300 - 1550 in SCA 106.  NURS 3160 is an on-line class.
