The Department of Nursing admits 20 pre-licensure students fall and spring semesters. This is a competitive admission based on: Cumulative GPA, Required Support Course GPA, Work/School History, Essay,TEAS "V" score, and References. As a part of the selection process, applicants may be asked to attend a scheduled interview. LPN's will apply with the Pre-licensure students and will be evaluated on the same criteria. Application deadline for Spring 2015 is September 12, 2014. Applicants will be notified by mail in late October of the Admissions and Advancement Committee's decision. Application deadline for Fall 2015 is February 13, 2015. Applicants will be notified by mail in late March of the Admissions and Advancement Committee’s decision. All decisions by the committee are final and may not be appealed.
TEAS V test Dates for Spring 2015 applicants! All tests will be proctored in SC 301 - 30 testers maximum per test date, on a first come-first serve basis; Friday, August 22, 2014 – 10:00 AM; Wednesday, September 3, 2014 – 11:00 AM; Thursday, September 11, 2014 – 11:00 AM. This is a 3 hour and 45 minute, four-option multiple-choice test with 170 total questions. Please come prepared for this length of time.
Register for the TEAS exam at www.atitesting.com, select the “Register for Teas” option and follow prompts to test at SUU on your desired day and time. The cost of the TEAS® V exam is $56.00, payable at the time of the on-line registration. Please bring your receipt, photo ID, and ATI user name and password to your registered test date.
RN to BSN applications need to be submitted to the Department of Nursing ON or BEFORE December 12, 2014, to be considered for a May 2015 position, (applications received after this deadline will NOT be considered for admission to the program). Applicants are notified of the committees' decision by mail in March.
