My Culture is not a Costume

Welcome to your “home away from home.” The Center for Diversity and Inclusion (CDI) wants to extend best wishes for a successful experience at SUU. The center is a great place to come between classes to meet people, study, use computers, or hang.

Sometimes adjusting to university life can be difficult, even for experienced students. Remember we are here for you. The CDI serves ethnic minority and LGBTQ students through academic advisement, counseling, and access to financial aid/scholarships. The CDI also promotes diversity at SUU through diversity clubs (e.g., Black Student Union, Native American Student Association, Polynesian Club), forums, and cultural heritage weeks. We welcome your participation, concerns, suggestions, and ideas for improving diversity at SUU.

In addition, the center offers computer access and group study areas.

Again, welcome to SUU! We are glad you are here and hope that we may be able to serve you. Feel free to drop by the CDI. Staff is available to assist you from 8 AM to 5 PM on Monday through Friday. However, the CDI is open for general use from 8 AM to 11 PM on Monday through Friday. We are located in ST 101.

We look forward to having you join our many cultures!
