Todd Robert Petersen is an Associate Professor of English at Southern Utah University. He writes fiction, and his research interests include visual narrative, film, and critical theory. He currently teaches film courses for the English Department and with the rest of his time, he directs the university’s experiential learning program as well as the Center for Creativity and Innovation.

He has published two books. Long After Dark, a collection of stories and a novella, which was released in 2007 and Rift, a novel, that came out in 2009. He is currently at work on a third book, a novel titled Into the Blue Again.

Todd enjoys a few things beyond work: photography, playing guitar, and collecting Batmobiles. His wife, Alisa Petersen, also works on campus administering the Beverly Taylor Sorensen Arts Education program.
