Dr. Mack earned his PhD from Stanford University in Iberian And Latin American Cultures in 2012. His dissertation, entitled "Open Wounds: Literature, Memory, and Space in Rural Iberia", is a cross-cultural and interdisciplinary study of readership of four contemporary novels about the Spanish Civil War in the rural communities they depict. His current research involves studying the intersection between autism and humanities in literary and visual culture. In his free time he enjoys running and spending time with his lovely wife Betty and their four children.
