Master of Interdisciplinary Studies Admission

For a student to gain admittance into the MIS degree, they must:

  1. Be successfully admitted to the Graduate School at SUU based on University standards in Policy 6.61;
  2. Provide transcripts showing a baccalaureate degree from a regionally-accredited university;
  3. Submit a résumé or curriculum vita (CV);
  4. Submit a Statement of Purpose which addresses the following:
    • Why you have chosen the MIS degree
    • How you plan to be successful in the program
    • Your preliminary idea for your capstone project
    • How you plan to use your MIS degree professionally
  5. Hold a GPA of 3.0 or higher in your last 60 credits. However, if it is lower, please contact Dr. Cynthia Kimball Davis, MIS Director, at cynthiakimballdavis@suu.edu or 435-586-7850
