Entrance Exams & Test Prep for Graduate School


The MAT or Millers Analogies Test is used primarily for graduate school admissions. The exam aims to measure an individual's logical and analytical reasoning through the use of partial analogies.

  • Take the MAT on SUU's Campus:
    • In order to take the MAT on SUU's campus, testing is available by appointment on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 PM-5:30 PM. The last test can be taken no later than 4:15 PM. The cost is $60. To schedule an appointment please contact Tony Salso, Testing Coordinator by email at:

The GMAT or Graduate Management Admission Test is a standardized test for measuring aptitude to succeed academically in graduate business studies.


The GRE or Graduate Record Examination is an exam used as a prerequisite for certain graduate school programs. The GRE is not necessarily related to any particular field of study, but contains the following sections; analytical writing, verbal, and quantitative. The entire exam takes approximately 3 1/2 hours. SUU's institution code for the GRE is 4092.
