"The Energy of Words"

The Alpha Eta Nu chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, English Honor Society, at SUU welcomes submissions of both creative and critical works. All undergraduate students are invited to take up the questions What are the implications for innate energy in words, How can words effect change, and/or How does the energy of the writing affect our literary experience in a work of no more than 2,500 words.
Submit a title and (max) 500 word abstract/proposal to email@example.com by the deadline of
October 12 extended to Friday, October 19!
The paper itself should be presentable within a 15 minute time block. Submissions accepted for presentation at the conference will be automatically entered into competition. Because of this, full, completed papers will be needed for judging no later than October 30. These should also be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The competition prizes for creative category and critical category will each be as follows:
Winners will be awarded a check at the time of the conference.
After the submission deadline has closed, more information will be posted and sent out about the schedule of the conference, the location, and other helpful information.
This conference is a good opportunity for undergraduate students interested in literary studies to share their work with peers and hear what their peers are doing in the field.
