Tuition and fees for the sports conditioning and performance masters degree are based on the graduate online tuition rates. 

Tuition Waiver for Underrepresented Students

The MSSCP tuition waiver is currently filled.

In keeping with the strategic goals of Southern Utah University, the MSc in Sport Conditioning and Performance Program (MSSCP) hopes to increase the number of underrepresented minorities obtaining graduate degrees. To that end, the MSSCP Program is pleased to offer financial assistance for underrepresented minority students pursuing a graduate degree in Sport Conditioning and Performance. This financial assistance will be awarded in the form of a tuition waiver.

Waiver Purpose:

• Successfully prepare underrepresented graduate students for a variety of careers in Sport Conditioning and Performance and related fields, and
• Increase the number of diverse students applying to SUU graduate programs.

Eligibility to Apply:

• Member of a group considered underrepresented: American Indian or Native Alaskan, Asian, Black or African American, Hispanic, and Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander.
• Meet the MSSCP program prerequisites and graduate admission requirements.
• Must be a current Utah resident.

• Complete the MSSCP application process
• When writing your letter of intent please make note that you are applying for the Graduate Tuition Waiver for Underrepresented (minority) Students in Sport Conditioning.

Continuation Requirements:

• The graduate tuition waiver program is intended to span 4 sequential semesters starting summer session 2020.
• The graduate tuition waiver requires the student to enroll full time as follows: 9-12 credit hours summer 2020, 9 credit hours fall 2020, 9-12 credit hours spring 2021, and 4 credit hours summer 2021 (the MSSCP Program Director will advise the student accordingly).
• The student must successfully complete the aforementioned semester course loads with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• The student must maintain good standing per the SUU Catalog.
• A student may apply for an extension of the tuition waiver for additional semesters. Approval of such requests will be contingent upon available funding and determined by the Program Director.

Financial Limits:

• The graduate tuition waiver program is intended to provide a full 100% tuition waiver for one underrepresented student for 4 sequential semesters starting summer session 2020.
• The fees associated with enrolling in the MSSCP Program are the financial responsibility of the student.
