Non-Traditional Student Services

Meet our Team!

Here in our office, we have small but mighty team of student-workers and employees who are dedicated to specifically helping Non-Traditional students succeed here at SUU.

Eliza Carpenter
Eliza Carpenter
Marketing and Events Coordinator

This is Eliza’s Junior year at SUU. She is studying Musical Theater and Criminal Justice and loves both. She is originally from American Fork, UT but she calls Cedar City home, and has from the moment she moved here. Eliza enjoys leadership, service, and people, and considers those to be some of her greatest passions. She also loves Orcas, the movie Ghostbusters (the original!), and puffy Cheetos.

Linda Hudson
Linda Hudson
Non-Traditional Student Specialist

Linda is a SUU Sociology graduate who is now pursuing a master's degree in Public Administration. She is from Orange County, California and ended up in Cedar City with her 10-year-old daughter, cat, and fish. She has been a Non-Trad for 7 years, returning to school after 20 years. She is a huge foodie and loves to cook, especially Asian cuisine.

Christina Powell
Christina Powell
Non-Traditional Student Office Manager

Christina is a single mom of 3 crazy fun kids! She recently received her degree in FLHD with an emphasis in Family Services (woo!). Beyond being a student and mother, she is currently the Relationship Enrichment Program instructor, teaching classes centered around creating strong, healthy relationships. She still does not know exactly what she wants to be when she "grows up," but the goal is to find a position that she will enjoy and have opportunities to make a difference in the community (while being able to pay her bills). Her favorite color is sparkly and she loves a good steak.

Keaton Hansen
Keaton Hansen
Peer Advocate

Keaton is a Pre-Nursing student in his Junior year. He has a wife and two children and when he is not at school he is spending time with his family. He loves being outside, being active, and playing just about any sport. He's got a passion for community service and involvement, and loves working with people and trying new things. He is a total Halloween junkie, loves pizza and lobster, and could walk on his hands for days.
