Brian Chan

Collaborative Pianist Brian Chan has established himself as a versatile and much sought-after musician nationally and internationally. He has performed with numerous individuals, chamber musicians, and large ensembles and has distinguished himself in both vocal and instrumental collaboration. Chan has assisted artists and winners of countless competitions, such as NATS, MTNA, and ASTA. He has served as a vocal coach and repetiteur for various opera companies and summer festivals including the Savannah Voice Festival, the Accademie Vocale Lorenzo Malfatti, and the Janiec Opera Company at the Brevard Music Center. Chan has also been the founding member of many chamber groups of which his ensemble, the Watchorn Piano Trio, was featured in the Redlands Chamber Association’s Emerging Artists Series.

Currently, Chan is ABD towards his DMA in Collaborative Piano at the University of Memphis and is the Staff Accompanist and collaborative coordinator for Southern Utah University. Notable mentors and instructors include: Jerome Shannon, Dean Williamson, Natasha Kislenko, Victor Asuncion, and Robert Koenig.
