School Bus Funding

Information and Eligibility

Admission to the Southern Utah Museum of Art is always free. Now Iron County educators (K12, public and private, university-affiliated) are eligible to apply for payment of transportation costs to the museum. Schools must be located in Iron County. Only one application per teacher will be funded per school year (September-May.)

Completed applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and must be received at least one month before desired visit to the museum. All applicants will be notified of their status by email no later than seven (7) business days after the application is received.

A completed application will include: 1) a complete online application form (below) and 2) a letter from a school administrator that addresses the financial need of the school and the desired benefit of the field trip for students. Letters may be attached to the online form, or emailed to educationsuma@suu.edu.

Please note that this is not a reimbursement. If awarded, the bus garage will bill transportation funds to SUMA for the trip. Teachers will, however, be responsible for scheduling the bus. More information regarding this process will be communicated further, if selected.
