Education VolunteersField Trip

Volunteers for our Education Program lead the K-12 field trip visits to both SUMA and the Frehner Museum of Natural History. Volunteers will have the opportunity to educate local K-12 students about how museums work, as well as lead these young students through educational activities. Interested candidates must be available from 9:30 am - 11 am at least one day a week (Tuesday-Friday). A background check will be required. Contact Kari Heaps at educationsuma@suu.edu for more information about becoming an education volunteer.

Museum DocentsDocents

We are seeking volunteers to serve as docents, front desk/gift shop, collections and more. If you can commit to an average of four hours per week for one year, please consider volunteering your time. There will be proper training sessions for all areas of SUMA prior to the opening in summer 2016. Our first training session has begun. More training is scheduled for later this year, so please consider volunteering.

If you are interested, please contact shepherdenv@msn.com or 435-865-5825.
