Volunteer at SUMA!

Museum volunteer leading tour

By volunteering at SUMA you will have opportunities to spend more time in the gallery, share your love of art with others, and better understand the workings of the museum. Here at SUMA we have three different volunteer opportunities to choose from:

Programs Assistant — Help with the different events and activities that SUMA holds for the community, and during the fall and spring help lead K-12 groups through the gallery and an activity in the SUMA classroom.

Museum volunteer in gift shop

Gallery Attendant — Make SUMA a friendly place by helping at the front desk and museum gift shop. Interact with new people by giving museum visitors tours and information about the museum and exhibits.

Registrar and Preparator — See behind the scenes of the museum. Help the museum staff prepare and install new exhibits as well as helping to maintain the organization of the museum’s collection.

If you are interested and would like to learn more:

Attend our casual brunch at SUMA on Monday June 11 at 10:00 a.m. to learn more about upcoming volunteer opportunities. It’s a chance to meet other volunteers and museum staff members. Enjoy a short introduction, a hands-on look at how museum volunteers get more involved, and plenty of time to mingle.
