Travel Spanish

A brief study of the basics of communicating in Spanish with a focus on travel situations and Spanish for tourists. This is not a grammar class, just a fun class to help the avid traveler enjoy traveling in Central and South America. Students will enjoy discussing travel plans and experiences with Spanish countries, cultures and the language. In the process, they will become comfortable with using the language to enhance travel experiences and during emergencies.

Class is held Sept. 19, 26, Oct. 3, 10, 17, 24, 31 and Nov. 7. Dates are subject to change due to the holiday.

Instructor Bio

Laura McAneney

Laura McAneney is currently the International Admissions Coordinator for Southern Utah University. Her family heritage is primarily Puerto Rican and she grew up learning about the beautiful Spanish language and culture at home and from her relatives. McAneney earned her bachelor's degree in Spanish in 2015 from SUU. She is always looking for ways to practice her Spanish and loves sharing with the community what she knows about basic communication, expression, and pronunciation.
