Branding Boot Camp

Branding Bootcamp introduces you to best practices and ethical standards in the field of strategic communication. Learn from local practitioners and SUU experts how to create and employ brand strategy to grow your business, non-profit organization, or entrepreneurial product ideas through advertising, marketing and public relations. This eight-session course will be hosted weekly with each session lasting 2 hours and culminating in the opportunity to earn an SUU Institutional Certificate. In a symposium-style setting, the workshop features speed lectures, experiential learning activities and guest speakers collaborating to help you build a toolbox customized to your needs.

Director of Community & Academic Enrichment at SUU, Melynda Thorpe offers more than 20 years’ experience working in the field of public relations, advertising and media production. Thorpe is founder of Emceesquare Media Inc, a southern Utah-based PR agency serving civic, business, education and arts/humanities clients since 2008. Emceesquare is known for creating the award-winning first Friday nightlife event, Georgefest, in Historic Downtown St. George.
