Embrace Aging

Learn how we can enjoy a healthier, happier and better-prepared life as we age. This class takes you through understanding what happens to our bodies and brains as we age, and how to accept and adapt to it. Class topics include the biology of the brain, managing illnesses, the role of family and caregivers, how to plan for the end of life and learning about community resources.

*Class will be held on April 12, 26 and May 10. No class will be held on April 19.

Instructor Bio
Instructor Anne Asman completed a Master of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Gerontology in 2015 from the University of Utah. She is a certified Dementia Dialogues trainer and received the Utah Certificate of Palliative Care Education 2016. She also holds the Understanding Dementia Certification from the University of Tasmania. She works closely with the Area Associations on Aging in counties throughout the state, the State Office of Aging and Adult Services, and is an active member and work group leader for the Alzheimer’s and Other Dementia’s Coordinating Council administrated by the Utah Department of Health. Anne is an instructor in the University of Utah’s Osher Lifelong Learning program where she concentrates on aging issues.
