American West Petroglyph Crawl & Cowboy Dinner

Experience the history of the American West during this one-day summer experience. Start the day off with a “Petroglyph Crawl” driving tour to visit rock art sites in the area with a local historian. Then head to Bowman’s Cowboy Kitchen for a delicious cowboy dinner and wagon ride.

Instructor Bio

Al Matheson is a Retired United States Air Force Colonel. He was Director of Space Launch and Communications Contracting, Space Division, for Air Force Systems Command. He also worked as a contract aerospace engineer for Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Litton via Vendor Surveillance Corp. Currently, Colonel Matheson is the owner and president of four corporations involved in construction/demolition, recycling, historic restoration of vintage machinery, and an active FAA Certified Flight Instructor. He is the Utah director of the Old Spanish Trail Association, adjunct professor at Southern Utah University (SUU), director of treks and monuments for the Sons of Utah Pioneers and director of the Mormon Battalion Association Benefactor at SUU.
