Big Ben Christmas Tree

We had a blast touring London with SUU's Community on the Go! [The SUU Faculty] are all very knowledgeable and friendly. They filled every day with fun activities and interesting sites to visit. I can't wait to go again!

Tentative Schedule

The Program Includes

  • A "Welcome to London" dinner. Enjoy an opening night meal of traditional English, Irish, or American fare in a London restaurant and get to know your fellow adventurers.
  • Bed and breakfast accommodations. Stay in a Georgian-period townhouse and start every day with a full English breakfast.
  • A tour of Westminster Abbey. Tour the church where kings and queens have been crowned since 1066. As the final resting place of kings, queens, statesmen, soldiers, poets, priests, heroes, and villains, the Abbey is a history pageant.
  • West End Theatre productions. Attend West End Theatre, some of the best theatre in the English-speaking world.
  • A guided Christmas adventure in Oxford. Follow a celebrated local guide on a stroll through this beautiful ancient city, then shop the Christmas markets surrounded by buildings from every architectural period since the late Saxon period. Home to the oldest university in the English-speaking world, Oxford presents an amazing "Christmas Village" feel in the "City of Dreaming Spires."
  • A Christmas Concert in Central London (based on availability).
  • Harry Potter sites. See Platform 9-3/4 and St. Pancras, and walk across Millennium Bridge.
  • Five of CNN's "Top 20 Museums in the World." Expand your knowledge in the British Museum, the National Gallery, the Natural History Museum, the Tate Modern, and the Science Museum.
  • Much, much more: Go sightseeing on your own during free time, navigate London via the Underground (The Tube), and visit several Christmas villages, including Covent Garden and the South Bank (adjacent to Shakespeare's Globe Theatre).

All activities and excursions are led by experienced SUU study abroad faculty.
