Operation Overlord:
The Normandy/D-Day Experience

November 4-14, 2017 | London, Normandy, Paris

Join SUU's 16th President, Scott L Wyatt, on this historic trip highlighting the greatest planning effort in military history, Operation Overlord. The trip will begin in London (on Guy Fawkes Day!) as we visit historic sites that set the stage for Victory in Europe: Churchill War Rooms, Imperial War Museum, Houses of Parliament, and the many world-renowned landmarks of the city. Walk through Bletchley Park, home to the English "codebreakers," and see the famous Enigma machine that cracked the German Code.

Honor the bravery of Allied servicemen and women as you walk the D-Day invasion beaches of Normandy and visit the hallowed ground of the American Cemetery overlooking Omaha Beach. Experience the hedgerow farmland, historic towns, and pastoral countryside of western France. Spend the final days of the tour in the City of Light, Paris, as we learn about the liberation from brutal Nazi occupation and take time to visit the Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, and many other sites.
