Q: What is the rental rate?

The rate for overnight use is $600/night plus a non-refundable $150 maintenance fee. Special rates are available to SUU students, faculty and staff. For more information, contact roadcreekinn@suu.edu or call (435) 865-8259.

Q: What is the Non-Refundable Maintenance Fee?

The $150 non-refundable maintenance fee is used for the upkeep of Road Creek Inn and property.

Q: How is the Inn reserved?

To reserve the Inn, fill out the reservation form by following the link provided. Once the form is submitted, you will be contacted to confirm your dates and receive your first reservation invoice. Instructions for payment are listed on the invoice. Once the $150 non-refundable maintenance fee is paid, your reservation is secured.

Q: How do I pay for my reservation?

SUU entities are required to pay via interdepartmental transfer. Upon filling out your reservation form, you are required to provide us your department billing index. Transfers will be issued for the full payment once your reservation dates are confirmed.

For non-SUU entities payments can be made by calling (435) 865-8259, online under Reservation Payment (you can pay the full amount or select a payment plan) or you can mail in a check by following the directions provided on your invoice.

Q: What is the cancellation policy?

We appreciate your reservation and look forward to hosting you at Road Creek Inn. Should you need to cancel your reservation, cancellations must be submitted to the SUU Road Creek Inn (roadcreekinn@suu.edu) at least two weeks before the reservation date to receive a full refund except for the $150 maintenance fee. Otherwise, the full reservation payment will be forfeited. Questions can be directed to roadcreekinn@suu.edu or (435) 865-8259.

Q: What is the maximum occupancy of the Road Creek Inn?

Utah Fire Code will allow up to 80 individuals inside the Road Creek Inn during the day and overnight. These numbers may not be exceeded and include children.

Q: Are RVs and tents allowed?

RVs may be parked in the Inn parking lot as space allows, but there are no hook-ups for power, water, or sewage. No tent areas are available.

Q: How many beds are there?

There are 15 bedrooms with a total of 24 beds: 11 king beds, 11 queen beds, and 2 full size beds. Each bedroom has a bathroom. There is space for sleeping bags/air mattresses, etc. in two large rooms downstairs and in a loft area upstairs as long as no more than 80 individuals (including children) are sleeping inside the Road Creek Inn. Q: Are individual rooms available to rent?

Individual room rentals are only available one week in advance of requested stay if there are no other group reservations. Call (435) 865-8259 to check availability.

Q: Can I rent only part of the Road Creek Inn?

Except for what is mentioned above, the entire Inn must be rented. Unused/unneeded rooms will not reduce the rental cost.

Q: What should I bring to the Road Creek Inn?

Personal incidentals such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, and blow dryers are NOT provided. Bedding and towels are provided. There is a general store and Family Dollar located across the street from the Inn. The kitchen has a refrigerator with freezer, stove, two microwaves, coffee maker, waffle iron, limited pots, pans, baking dishes, cups, dishware and silverware. To ensure you have what you need, please bring your own equipment and supplies.

Q: What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is at 3:00 PM Mountain Standard Time (MST). Check-out is at 11:00 AM (MST). Early check in and extended check out may be available. Check with the SUU Road Creek Inn office for more information.

Q: What is the check-in process?

The Road Creek Inn caretaker will meet you at the Inn at the designated check-in time. When you arrive, please provide them with the invoice receipt sent to you upon completion of your payment to confirm your stay. They will make sure you have WIFI access, cleaning check-out procedures, and answer any questions you may have. The caretaker will also be there when you check out to verify the Road Creek Inn is cleaned and undamaged. The Inn Caretaker can be contacted via phone: (435) 586-7749.

Q: Are guests required to clean the Road Creek Inn prior to check-out?

Yes, a cleaning checklist will be provided at check in. To keep costs affordable at the Inn, all items on the list will need to be completed in a thorough manner prior to check out. Cleaning supplies and trash bags will be provided. Due to the popularity of the Road Creek Inn, there is usually very little time between guests. Please leave the Road Creek Inn in a clean and orderly condition. Road Creek Inn reserves the right to charge $50 every additional hour the Inn caretaker spends cleaning things not completed on the checklist. Should additional cleaning fees be assessed, you will receive an invoice within 72 hours of checking out of the Inn.

Q: Where inside the Road Creek Inn can we eat?

On the main floor of the Inn is a dining area with 6 square tables, 4 chairs each; seating for 25 people. Please keep food and drink in the kitchen and dining areas or outside. See the Road Creek Inn Floor Plan.

Q: Is there a classroom available to use?

Yes. At the back of the Inn there is a classroom that seats at least 12. Two rooms are available, one large and one small. See the Road Creek Inn Floor Plan.

Q: Is there a dishwasher in the kitchen?

There is no dishwasher provided at the Inn. All dishes must be hand washed, but paper products work well for easy clean up.

Q: Are laundry facilities available?

The Inn has 2 washers and 2 dryers located downstairs. Please bring your own laundry detergent and ask the Inn caretaker for permission to use the facilities. The Inn caretaker can be contacted by phone at (435) 586-7749.

Q: What activities are close by?

The Road Creek Inn is centrally located to several state and national parks; Capitol Reef National Park, Fishlake National Forest, Boulder Mountain Park, Goblin Valley State Park. Each park is spectacular with a variety of geological structures, ample hiking, fishing, and learning opportunities (info available at the local Forest Service or Tourism Office in Cedar City).

Q: Is smoking or vaping allowed?

Smoking or vaping is not allowed at the Road Creek Inn. A $100 penalty will be assessed for violators, plus the cost of any damages. Should additional fees be assessed, you will receive an invoice within 72 hours of checking out of the Inn.

Q: Is there Wi-Fi at the Road Creek Inn?

Wi-Fi is available at the Inn, the password will be provided at check-in.

Q: Is there any audiovisual equipment?

Located in the lower level, Road Creek Inn is equipped with a smart TV with ports that laptops and DVD players can be plugged into. Cords are not included.

Q: How big is the parking lot?

The parking lot is large enough to hold approximately 24 mid-sized automobiles. RVs may be parked in the parking lot as space allows. Please be considerate of people in the community and avoid parking in other areas.

Q: When can I reserve the Road Creek Inn for the following year?

Reservations can be taken at any time. Please fill out the reservation form with your request. Reservations will be taken in the order the messages and/or emails are received.
