Q: What is the physical address of the Road Creek Inn?

Q: Is the Road Creek Inn open year round?

No. The Inn is closed December thru February.

Q: What is the rental rate?

The rate for overnight use is $500 per night (plus tax) for educational groups. The rate for overnight use is $600 per night (plus tax) for non-educational groups (family reunions, church youth groups, etc.). Rates are subject to change.

*The rental rate for SUU educational groups may be waived if granted by the Provost's office by filling out the appropriate proposal form provided on the website.

Q: How is the Inn reserved?

Within 48 hours of completing the Reservation Request Form, an email will be sent verifying the availability of the Inn. A rental agreement and billing estimate will follow with the total amount due. A link will be provided for payment by credit card. Once full payment and a signed rental agreement is received, the reservation is secure.

Q: Must payment be made by credit card?

A check may be sent to Southern Utah University. Please be aware that reservations are not secure until payment is received.

Q: What is the cancellation policy?

Please be considerate and notify the SUU Road Creek Inn ASAP to cancel reservations so others may reserve the Inn. Cancellations must be submitted in writing to the SUU Road Creek Inn 48 hours before the reservation date to receive a full refund. Otherwise, the entire fee will be forfeited.

Q: What about tax exempt entities?

Taxes may be waived by completing the appropriate tax exempt form. The form will be provided upon email request.

Q: What is the maximum occupancy of the Road Creek Inn?

Utah Fire Code will allow up to 80 individuals inside the Road Creek Inn during the day and overnight. These numbers may not be exceeded and include children.

Q: Are RVs and tents allowed?

RVs may be parked in the Inn parking lot as space allows. No tent areas.

Q: How many beds are there?

There are fifteen bedrooms with a total of 24 bed; 11 king beds, 11 queen beds, and 2 full size beds. Each bedroom has a bathroom. There is space for sleeping bags/air mattresses, etc. in two large rooms downstairs and in a loft area upstairs as long as no more than 80 individuals (including children) are sleeping inside the Road Creek Inn.

Q: Are individual rooms available to rent?

Individual room rentals are only available during the Loa, Utah fair and one week in advance of requested stay if there are no other group reservations. Call 435-586-7749 to check availability.

Q: Can I rent only part of the Road Creek Inn?

Except for what is mentioned above, the entire Inn must be rented. Unused/unneeded rooms will not reduce the rental cost.

Q: What should I bring to the Road Creek Inn?

Personal incidentals such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, and blow dryers are NOT provided. Bedding and towels are provided. The kitchen has limited pots and pans, dishes and silverware. To ensure you have what you need, please bring your own equipment and supplies.

Q: What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is at noon Mountain Standard Time. Check-out is at 11 a.m. Early check-in and extended check-out may be available. Check with the SUU Road Creek Inn office for more information.

Q: What is the check-in process?

A SUU Road Creek Inn representative will meet you at the Road Creek Inn at the designated check-in time. A SUU Road Creek Inn representative will also be there when you check-out to verify the Road Creek Inn is cleaned and undamaged.

Q: Are guests required to clean the Road Creek Inn prior to check-out?

Yes, a cleaning checklist will be provided at check-in. All items on the list will need to be completed in a thorough manner prior to check-out. Cleaning supplies and trash bags will be provided. Due to the popularity of the Road Creek Inn, there is usually very little time between guests. Please leave the Road Creek Inn in a clean and orderly condition.

Q: Is a cleaning fee required?

Yes. There is a $100 cleaning fee for educational groups and a $150 cleaning fee for non-educational groups required at the time the reservation is made.

Q: Where inside the Road Creek Inn can we eat?

On the main floor of the Road Creek Inn is a dining area with 6 square tables, 4 chairs each; seating for 25 people. Please keep food and drink in the kitchen and dining areas or outside.

Q: Is there a classroom available to use?

Yes. At the back of the Inn there is a classroom that seats at least 12. Two rooms are available, one large and one small.

Q: Is there a dishwasher in the kitchen?

There is no dishwasher. Paper products work great!

Q: Are laundry facilities available?

Yes. The Inn has 2 washers and 2 dryers located downstairs.Please bring your own laundry detergent.

Q: What activities are close by?

The Road Creek Inn is centrally located to several state and national parks; Capital Reef National Park, Fishlake National Forest, Boulder Mountain Park,Goblin Valley State Park, and more. Each park is spectacular with a variety of geological structures, ample hiking, fishing, and learning opportunities (info available at the local Forest Service or Tourism Office in Cedar City).

Q: Are pets allowed?

No. Pets are not allowed at the Road Creek Inn. A $100 penalty will be assessed for violators, plus the cost of any damages.

No. Smoking is not allowed at the Road Creek Inn. A $100 penalty will be assessed for violators, plus the cost of any damages.

Q: Is there Wi-Fi at the Road Creek Inn?

Yes. The password will be provided at check-in.

Q: Is there any audiovisual equipment?

Not at this time.

Q: How big is the parking lot?

The parking lot is large enough to hold approximately 24 mid-sized automobiles. RVs may be parked in the parking lot as space allows. Please be considerate of people in the community and avoid parking in other areas.

Q: When can I reserve the Road Creek Inn for the following year?
