Speech & Presentation Center Events

Throughout the school year our interns host and participate in campus events. We love to promote our services and share our resources when we can. Check out what we are up to this semester!

Talk-O Tuesday

  • When: September 27th and November 9th - 12:00 PM
  • Where: Library Plaza
  • What: This tabling event is typically held in the SUU Library Plaza. Come get free tacos and learn about the Speech and Presentation Center. All students, staff, and community members welcome!


  • When: October 27th and November 17th - 4:00 PM
  • Where: Student Center Living Room
  • What: We host "Unscripted", a fun improv event for all students and faculty. The purpose of these fun and educational games are to assist anyone who experiences speech anxiety and develop their presentation skills.


  • When: September 14th - 7:00 PM
  • Where: Great Hall in the Hunter Conference Center
  • What: Our center proudly hosts and produces TEDxSUU . TEDx is a world-renowned independent educational organization that holds independent events all across the world - and annually at SUU. Students, professors, and members of the community are specially selected to share their ideas and inspire us. Visit for more information.

Conflict Mediation and Resolution Course

  • When: 2 weekend seminar classes throughout Spring semester
  • Where: TBD
  • What: Conflict Resolution and Mediation (COMM 4600) is a unique, hands-on experience that is essential for solving disputes. This class is held on two weekends featuring seminars and then some independent mock mediations and observations.
