The Completion and Student Success team implements important campus retention, completion, and student success initiatives at Southern Utah University. Completion and Student Success consists of the offices listed.

Student Success Advising helps our students clarify educational goals by assisting in the development of academic plans. Advisors interpret the university policies and academic requirements in order to help students select appropriate course work. Advisors guide students through the academic decision making process by directing students to additional sources of information and assistance.

The Career & Professional Development Center serves students and alumni in their career development process from career exploration through post-graduation goals; connects employers to students; serves the community with resources and expertise; and supports Southern Utah University with the knowledge and tools necessary to assist students, all in an effort to increase retention, completion and enhance academic success. We pride ourselves in serving these entities in a proactive, collaborative and professional manner.

The First Year Experience and Orientation program at Southern Utah University provides each incoming student with valuable, personalized attention from the moment they commit to SUU until they complete their first year.

Assistant Coaches for Excellence and Success (ACES) work with Student Success Advisors to ensure each student thrives in their experience here at SUU through personal outreach and one-on-one academic advising. Along with this, ACES refer students to resources and activities to provide them with opportunities for success and support.

The Office of Student Connection and Completion (SCC) works to provide support to students who intend to withdraw from SUU by meeting with them one-on-one, reviewing withdrawal considerations, and creating a smooth transition in/out of the academic term. The SCC also responds to faculty 'Link Cases/Alerts' to discuss strategies for success with students who are finding challenge(s) in/outside the classroom.

Financial Wellness is dedicated to promoting a culture of financial well-being by providing students and families the financial tools needed to succeed in their academics and beyond. Financial Wellness takes pride in helping others understand their financial options and to establish life skills on a personalized level through one-on-one counseling sessions, budgeting and financial goal setting and understanding FAFSA.

Parent and Family Services is committed to enhancing student success, retention, and completion, by actively partnering with parents and families as part of the larger university community through publications, programs, and services.

Non-Traditional Student Services assists students in making meaningful connections to campus that will support and facilitate successful retention, completion, and provide a sense of belonging. We will advocate on behalf of these students with various departments across campus to build a strong foundation of support unique to their situation.
