Western Regional Honors Conference 2020

Event Canceled

To our Western Regional Honors Council Colleagues,

It is with great disappointment that we write to you today. Due to the recent developments associated with the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus in the US, the leadership team of the Western Regional Honors Council has determined that holding the upcoming conference at Southern Utah University on March 27-29 poses too high of a risk to the health and safety of our students and campus communities. Subsequently, the conference has been officially canceled. All registration fees paid to SUU will be refunded in full. The conference hotels are supportive of cancellations with full refunds (if payments have already been made). Please be sure to contact the hotels directly for your cancellations/refunds. We believe that most airlines and rental agencies have policies that allow for cancellations and refunds due to natural disasters or situations such as this.

While this cancellation is certainly something we did not intend, we are confident that this is the right decision. We will proceed, as planned, with the 2021 conference at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington next spring. And, as always we look forward to our annual meeting during the NCHC meeting- this November in Dallas, TX.
