The Southern Utah University Women’s Network (SUUWN) works to create an educational, professional, and political climate in which women’s voices and values, in all their diversity and richness, are heard and included in an effort to shape the institutional and public agenda of higher education, as well as leadership roles for women at Southern Utah University.
SUUWN hosts events each month on campus, as well as attending UWHEN events, please join us:
Professional Development Series
The Southern Utah University Women’s Network is offering a professional development series, including the opportunity to receive institutional credit and a Creating Community Certificate, beginning this year.
Based on SUUWN’s IDEAL objectives, the series will focus on three areas: health and wellness, workplace harmony, and prosperity. As of today, there are 20 professional development opportunities for participants to choose from over the next two years.
Each event will earn participants one continuing education credit. Once the participant has 12 credits on their continuing education transcript, they can submit a request to the K12 Office in the College of Education and Human Development to receive an institutional certificate for "Creating Community." All employees of SUU are eligible.
Upcoming UWHEN Events
The Utah Women in Higher Education Network (UWHEN) is the Utah affiliate to the American Council on Education (ACE) Women’s Network. UWHEN is an important resource for women employed in higher education. Here women may build networks, identify or become mentors, find support, discover new opportunities, built hard- and soft-skills, enhance leadership abilities, solve problems, and give back.
