In addition to preparing dancers for placement in the nation’s top performing arts graduate schools, SUU’s dance education program prepares students to become licensed secondary education dance teachers; offer private studio instruction; and serve as dance educational specialists.
Our campus is home to three state-of-the-art dance studios and two concert performance halls for our dancers’ use. We also house a library of Congress on Research in Dance and the Journal of Dance Education/RDE Database.

High school dance educator
Desert Hills High School

"SUU efficiently guided me in my journey to be where I love to be today, teaching my passion for the art of dance to middle and high school aged students. SUU gave me the contacts and the recommendations I would need to be hired into the education world. I would never be where I am today, teaching dance full time at Desert Hills High School, without the guidance from SUU’s dance and education departments."
