The exceptional work by artists from across southern Utah will be featured in the Invitational Exhibit. Artwork available for sale ranges in medium including watercolor, ceramics and oil. This exhibit will run concurrently with the Utah Shakespeare Festival summer season.
High School Fine Art Competition

The 2010 competition developed in conjunction with the Utah Shakespearean Festival showcases the works of 33 high school art students. This year’s theme, “Such stuff as dreams are made on,” comes from William Shakespeare’s The Tempest. The students used this quote to shape their inspiration, spark their vision and develop their submissions. The results include artwork that uses a diverse array of media including ceramics, color pencil, graphite, photography, acrylic and metal.

This show provides a rare opportunity to view one of the most extensive collections of engravings ever to travel. The 125 rare works were produced by Homer mostly in his youth between the ages of twenty and fifty. His best-known illustrations including Snap-the-Whip, The Noon Recess, Gathering Berries, and Waiting for a Bite are among the one hundred twenty five wood engravings.
Other Lands: The Nature of Art

Other Lands highlights the natural wonders that can be found in Southern Utah as well as showcase the design skills and imaginative prospective of some of SUU's most talented designers. It offers a unique chance to see two student-produced exhibits at the Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery. The Contemporary Landscape Photography class and Publication Design class have partnered to produce two very different and original exhibits.
