SUU’s Cyber Security and Information Assurance program gives you the skills to design, plan, and manage cyber systems while learning how to protect critical infrastructure from external threats, including terrorism.

Yes. Southern Utah University is designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) by the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This is a prestigious "gold standard" designation that confirms our curriculum meets rigorous federal standards, often giving our graduates a significant advantage when applying for government, military, or high-security private sector roles.
Absolutely. Many of our most successful students come from criminal justice, business, or liberal arts backgrounds. If you don't have a technical degree, you can enter our Bridge Program, which consists of a few foundational courses to get you up to speed on networking and systems before you dive into the advanced Master's coursework.
No. We believe your technical potential and academic history are better indicators of success than a standardized test. Admission is based primarily on your undergraduate GPA (3.0 or higher) and relevant experience. We do not require the GRE or GMAT for the MS-CSIA program.
The program requires 30 credit hours.

Flexibility: The MS-CSIA is offered 100% online, with courses delivered in accelerated 7-week blocks. This allows you to focus on one or two subjects at a time while working full-time.

Yes. As a STEM-designated degree, international students on an F-1 visa are eligible to apply for the 24-month OPT extension. This provides a total of 36 months of legal work authorization in the U.S. following graduation, which is a major benefit for those looking to gain experience in the American tech sector.
