You don’t have to navigate your degree alone. Whether you are a prospective student or already part of the T-Bird flock, Campus Connections is your invitation to experience the authentic community of SUU in person.

What is Campus Connections?

As an online or graduate learner, your time is a significant investment. We have designed these one-day experiences to provide high-value human guidance that enhances your sense of belonging without compromising the flexibility you need.

Who is invited? Current students, prospective students, and one guest.
Where? Cedar City, UT aka the "World’s Best Backyard".
Scholarship Opportunity: Every attendee is eligible to enter a giveaway for one of two $500 scholarships offered at each event.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a cost to attend, and what is included? The Campus Connections event itself is entirely free to attend for you and your guest! Your registration includes the campus tour, full access to the Resource Fair, entry into our scholarship and swag giveaways, and a complimentary lunch featuring a custom SUU-themed Soda Bar.

I haven't applied to SUU yet. Can I apply at the event? Yes, absolutely! We will have our admissions team set up during the Resource Fair. We will have iPads on-site and our Admissions team will be right there to walk you through the process.

I'm not sure what major or program I want to pursue yet. Is this event still for me? Most definitely! Campus Connections is designed to help you figure out your next steps. During our lunch hour, we have dedicated "Undecided" tables for students who are exploring their options. You can chat with advisors, recruiters, and peers to help you discover which path feels right for you.

What should I expect during the Campus Tour, and what if it rains or snows? The campus tour is a guided walking experience from 11am-12pm that takes you through SUU's beautiful grounds, stopping by iconic landmarks like the Carter Carillon Bell Tower, the historic Old Sorrel statue, and the Adams Shakespearean Theatre. Because Cedar City weather can vary, especially during our late fall dates, we recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and bringing a jacket or umbrella just in case!

August 14: Experience the world-renowned Utah Shakespeare Festival with performances of Hamlet or the family-friendly comedy See How They Run.
September 25–26: Join the Forever Red celebration and the Homecoming football game.
October 23rd: Enjoy the Cedar City Sheep Parade.
November 13: Mentor Suggestion - Participate in a seasonal "Vibe Check" hike or a visit to the Southern Utah Museum of Art (SUMA) to connect with local heritage.

Since 60% of online students live within 100 miles of campus, these events are the perfect "locality" anchor for your education.

The Outdoors: Visit Bryce Canyon, Kolob Canyons, or Cedar Breaks. For a more relaxed pace, explore local hiking trails or the Three Peaks Recreation Area.
Local Flavor: Enjoy Cedar City’s best, from Centro Woodfired Pizzeria and The Pub to local favorites like Hermie’s Drive-In or Bunnisa’s Thai.
Family Fun: Take the kids to the CC Aquatic Center, the Farmer’s Market, or the Frontier Homestead State Park Museum.
