T-Bird Ready

Although it is not required, it represents your preparation for your post graduation journey. Achieving the T-Bird Ready certification means that you have successfully completed tasks to become proficient in career competencies endorsed by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). By completing digital badges in each NACE competency, you are demonstrating your career-readiness.

What is T-Bird Ready?

Being T-Bird Ready gives you a distinct advantage in securing internships, job opportunities, and ultimately, your career. It showcases your dedication to continuous learning and adaptability.

To become T-Bird Ready, you are required to earn digital badges for all eight NACE competencies. The eight NACE career competencies are:

  1. Career & Self-Development
  2. Communication
  3. Critical Thinking
  4. Equity & Inclusion
  5. Leadership
  6. Professionalism
  7. Teamwork
  8. Technology

Each competency comprises subcategories for which you can earn digital badges. Upon completing 80% of the subcategories within a competency, you receive a digital badge signifying your proficiency in that specific area. When you have acquired digital badges for all eight competencies, you become T-Bird Ready.

As a testament to your accomplishment, you will be rewarded with a T-Bird Ready certificate, a valuable addition to your portfolio. We highly encourage sharing your digital badges on LinkedIn to set yourself apart from fellow T-Birds and other candidates. This proactive approach enhances your professional visibility and further distinguishes you as a sought-after candidate in the job market.
