Complete the application for graduation within the mySUU Portal. A $50 late fee will be applied to all late applicants. A $15 diploma fee is applied to ALL graduates; it is increased to $65 if applications are received past deadlines.

March 15, 2016: You will not graduate as a Fall 2015, Spring 2016 or Summer 2016 graduate if you do NOT apply for graduation by this date. This is also the last day to have your name printed in the commencement program and participate in the Spring 2016 Ceremonies.
All fees must be paid and your graduation survey completed before your transcript or diploma is released.
All graduates will pick up their cap & gown at the Grad Fair on Friday, April 29, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the SUU Alumni House, located on the corner of 300 West and University Boulevard. Ice cream will be provided, along with important information about graduation.
Unable to attend the Grad Fair? No problem. When you complete the Grad Survey mid-April you can designate a classmate, friend or family member to pickup your regalia.
Summa Cum Laude (GPA 3.8 or higher) or Magna Cum Laude (GPA 3.6 - 3.79999) graduates will pick up their medallions at the Grad Fair. For more information on these medallions, please contact Heather Holmes in the office of vice-president for student affairs.
Caps, gowns and tassels are required for all graduates to participate in both the university and individual college ceremonies. Purchase your cap and gown now.
Associate's degree regalia includes dark blue gown, dark blue hat and white tassel.
Bachelor's degree regalia includes black gown, black hat and tassel (color of tassel corresponds with academic college).
Master's degree regalia includes a black gown that differs from the bachelor's robe, black hat, black tassel and hood (color hood corresponds with master's degree program).
Regalia is purchased and not rented. Cap, gown, tassel and hood (if applicable) are yours to keep and do not need to be returned. No advance sizing necessary.
All graduates are required to complete the 2016 Grad Survey through the mySUU portal. The 2016 survey is offline now but will open mid-April. Contact SUU's Career & Professional Development Office or call 435-865-8677 if you have any questions. It is recommended that the survey be completed prior to arriving at the Grad Fair.
All graduates are encouraged to attend the University Commencement Ceremony and their respective College Convocation Ceremonies unless excused by the Registrar's Office (435.586-7715; email@example.com).
SUU does not hold a rehearsal for graduation ceremonies.
Graduates should arrive for line-up one hour early, in graduation regalia, for both the University Commencement Ceremony and your college convocation to receive special instructions. See detailed map for line-up locations.
In case of inclement weather, line-up will be in the Sharwan Smith Student Center.
Graduates who have spouses or immediate family members graduating in different colleges may request to have their degrees awarded in the same college. Requests must be made no later than Wednesday, April 27, at 5 p.m. The graduate wishing to switch his/her college convocation ceremony must make the request by emailing Sheila Johnson.
CB Announcements is the official provider of graduation announcements for Southern Utah University. A company representative will be at the SUU Bookstore February 24 & 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. taking orders for personalized graduation announcements. Orders can also be placed at cbgrad.com and are typically shipped within 3-5 business days.
The SUU Bookstore will have non-personalized graduation announcements (10/pack) available for purchase beginning in March.
A professional photographer from Island Photography will be taking photographs of each graduate as they are recognized at the college convocations. Within 48 hours after your college convocation, you will be emailed a secure link and a PIN to view and order your photos.
