What can the senators do for you? Are you in a club on campus, or
interested in getting one going? Do you and your classmates want to go to a
conference that you don’t quite have the money for? Your student-elected
HSS Senators can help! Southern Utah University’s Student Association
(SUUSA) is the student-run organization that allows extracurricular
activities on campus to get going and stay on their feet. They make sure
that the fees YOU pay as part of your tuition go to activities and events
that YOU want to see sponsored. Here’s how: Speak to the HSS Senators
through emails or in the SUUSA office in Sharwan Smith Center room 205,
express to them your interest in creating a bill that would help your club
or class receive funding. They will then help the bill through the
ratification process that will allocate monies to your organization. The
student Senate also helps pass other recommendations and resolutions that
can affect your life as a student such as deciding on a campus integrity
policy and helping make decisions concerning student fees and a student Bill
of Rights.

The following bills were written by the HSS Senators during the 2008-2009 school year
