Dear Utah FTC Community,
Since 2020, Southern Utah University has been honored to serve as the FTC Utah Program Delivery Organization (PDO). Over the past five years, we have had the joy of working alongside extraordinary students, mentors, supporters, and event staff. The creativity, determination, and innovation demonstrated by Utah’s FTC teams have been nothing short of inspiring.
For those new to FTC in Utah—welcome! You are joining a vibrant community where students design, build, and program incredible robots, learn to solve real-world challenges, and form lifelong friendships. FTC isn’t just about competing; it’s about developing skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership that will serve students well in every area of life.
As Utah’s higher education institutions refocus on their primary mission of current student success, SUU will no longer serve as the FTC Utah PDO. Our current Program Delivery Partner, Laurel Dodgion, is also stepping down. While this transition is bittersweet, we are deeply grateful for the memories, accomplishments, and relationships forged through FTC.
The Utah STEM Action Center will serve as the Interim Program Delivery Organization for FTC Utah. Questions regarding the program, events, or upcoming transitions may be directed to Utah STEM Action Center Director Tamara Goetz. We encourage all teams, coaches, and volunteers to work closely with the Utah STEM Action Center and continue building the strong, collaborative community that makes FTC such a success. You can reach Dr. Goetz at tgoetz@utah.com
Thank you for allowing SUU to be part of your journey. We look forward to cheering for Utah FTC from the sidelines and celebrating your future successes.
With appreciation,
Southern Utah University
