CSTEM Annual Research Symposium
2025 Symposium Tuesday, November 11th
- Keynote Speaker: Evan Johnson, 5:00 PM, in the Auditorium
- Poster and Oral Presentations: 6:00 PM, in the Hunter Alumni Center
The Walter Maxwell Gibson College of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics holds a Research Symposium each fall to showcase science research from both students and faculty in the college. In progress, as well as more complete, research presentations are invited. This is an opportunity to prepare for future presentations at such places as the Utah Conference on Undergraduate Research (UCUR), Utah Academy of Sciences, Arts & Letters, and Festival of Excellence. Both poster and oral STEM presentations are welcome.

- 2026 Dates TBD (early November)
- 2026 Keynote Speaker: 5:00 PM TBD
- 2026 Poster and Oral Presentations: 6:00 PM, in the Hunter Alumni Center
Abstract Guidelines - For Poster & Oral Presentations:
2026 Abstract Submission deadline - Friday, October 9th.
- Abstracts must be 250 words or fewer.
- Oral presentations are 15 minutes (2 minutes introduction & preparation, 10 minutes for presentation, 3 minutes for questions & answers)
- A TV cart or projector will be in each room. Please bring your presentation on a flash drive.
Poster Printing:
2026 Poster Submission Deadline - Friday, October 23rd
- Posters uploaded by the deadline will be printed and set up by the college.
- Dimensions may be up to 30" tall and 40" wide.
- Posters must be in a PDF file format.
- Posters must not have a black or dark background.
- A poster template has been provided as a resource to ensure correct dimensions and resolution.
