SUU's immersive MMFT program trains therapists to understand how relationships, systems, and context shape presenting issues. With hands-on clinical experience, dedicated faculty, and a culturally responsive curriculum, students learn to strengthen individuals, couples, and families, empower change, and lead with compassion in a rapidly evolving mental health field.

Admission Requirements
- A 3.0 GPA
- Three letters of recommendation
- A one page letter of intent describing how your personal and career goals match the aims of our program.
- Completion of the essay portion of the application
- Social science majors (Psychology, Family Studies, Social Work, etc.) recommended, but not required.
- Experience in the field of mental health, either through work or volunteering highly recommended
Applications for our Fall 2026 cohort are closed. Students are admitted once per year with enrollment beginning in Fall Semester. Interested students are welcome to request information to be notified when the next round of applications open.
