Our Master of Science in Sports Conditioning and Performance (MS) online degree is designed for busy working professionals like coaches, personal trainers, and athletic trainers. Admission Requirements

Note: There is a mandatory 2 week On-Campus Summer requirement
  1. Complete your application.
  2. Submit official transcripts from your previous school. If you graduated from SUU, transcripts are not needed.
  3. Maintain a 3.0 GPA in your last 60 semester hours.
You must meet one of the following

  • A bachelor’s degree in physical education, exercise science, or sports medicine.
  • A bachelor’s degree and certification as a fitness professional (e.g., CSCS, NSCA-CPT, ACSM-CPT).
  • A bachelor’s degree with coursework in exercise physiology (e.g., KIN 3070) and biomechanics (e.g., KIN 3060).

Additional Requirements

  • Basic computer skills and access to high-speed internet are needed.

Transfer credits

  • Up to 12 credits may be transferred if they match the course content in the program.

Special Considerations

  • If you don’t meet the requirements, you may still be admitted by explaining why and how you’ll succeed in the program.

June 2 - 13, 2025 (No classes on Saturday or Sunday).

KIN 6010 - Advanced Techniques for Sport Conditioning: 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. with Jeff Cowley

KIN 6050 - Resistance Training Techniques: 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. with Paul Maggio

KIN 6060 - Evaluation in Sport Fitness: 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. with Marcus Lawrence

KIN 6090 - Motor Skill Acquisition: Online, regular summer session with Merrill Funk

Off-Campus Housing Info

  • Cost: $340 (includes gas, power, internet, rent, and a $100 security deposit).
    • A $50 refund is possible if the unit is left clean and undamaged.
    • Payments can be made upfront with a check included in your application.
  • Furnishings: The units are fully furnished, but you will need to bring bedding, dishes, and toiletries.
