Athletic Training Degree Program Placement and Clinical Rotation

  1. Placement is decided after applicants have been reviewed and the candidates have been selected. The Clinical Education Coordinator in conjunction with the clinical staff will determine the rotations.
  2. Rotations will be decided using the following pattern.
    a. Sophomores will be assigned to Coliseum athletic training room as well as football.
    b. Junior students will rotate around to experience a variety of sports and athletic training rooms at 5 week intervals.
    c. Senior students will have the opportunity to be assigned to either a specific sport for the season or to an athletic training room. Seniors will also have an opportunity for a 5 week rotation at Cedar Ridge Family Medicine.
  3. Students will work with both team and individual sports. All athletic training room sites are co-educational and students will work with both male and female athletes.
