The 6th Annual Quilt Show Opens at Southern Utah University

This display features the quilts of the Zion Piecemakers Quilt Guild of Hurricane, Utah. These 22 quilts feature many different patterns and methods. Wall hangings, quilted pictures and full bed quilts also enhance this exhibit.
Some of the patterns include the Convergence quilts from a book by Ricky Tims. Other features include the Broken Star, Lone Star, a sampler quilt with material from the 1930s, a Sixty-Degree Star and a Civil War reproduction quilt. Many of the quilts in this exhibit are made by master quilter and teacher Blanche Young, a member of the Guild.
The quilts are available to view during open library hours:
Monday-Thursday 7 am-11 pm;
Friday 7 am-7 pm;
Saturday 11 am-7 pm; and Sunday 2-10 pm.
Special hours over the Thanksgiving Holiday are:
November 24, 8 am-5 pm;
November 25-27, Closed;
November 28, 2-10 pm.
