Harraf has accepted a position as provost at the University of Northern Colorado. He will be replaced by Decker on August 1.
Decker has served as the dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences for 23 years. He will serve as provost until his scheduled retirement in June 2008.
“I’m very honored,” says Decker. “I want to be an active provost and represent the traditions of the university and continue with the ideas that Abe Harraf has started.”
