Southern Utah University will once again host a cardboard recycling drive next Saturday, October 6. The drive, which will be held from 9-11 a.m. at SUU’s baseball field parking lot on University Boulevard between 800 West and 1150 West, is the fourth cardboard drive since the school began its latest recycling initiative.

Originally, SUU hosted cardboard drives on a trial basis to gauge community interest in increased recycling efforts. However, the program’s continued success has sets a new standard for recycling initiatives across the community and at SUU. With regular cardboard drives once a month now, SUU is working to helps citizens across the county think green. This initiative will continue as long as people continue using the service.

Residents are asked to only bring their cardboard between the hours of the drive, and to ensure all cardboard is broken down in advance if at all possible. This will help keep the parking lot clean, and ensures this service can continue.
