A New Portal for Student Information (ARCHIVE)

In response to increasing demands for a user-friendly, one-stop log-in approach to managing student records and registration, Southern Utah University will soon roll the old student Banner record management system into the new mySUU web portal.

mySUU will streamline the record management process for students, as it requires just a one-time log-in for all services, including registration, access to grades, change of contact information, etc.

It also eliminates the need for students to create and remember multiple sets of log-in information, as currently, students access Banner with their T-number and have a different username and password for mySUU.

Since all student web-based services are accessible through mySUU, eliminating the outdated Banner system is a sound move forward in simplifying one component of the student experience here at SUU.

School and site administrators have tried to combat any student-user confusion caused by eliminating the old records management system many students currently utilize by providing easier access to mySUU from the very beginning. A new and graphically prominent link in the bottom-left corner of the SUU home page provides direct access to mySUU’s central log in.

To increase awareness of the new online information portal system amongst students, there will be a drawing connected to mySUU usage. Any student who logs in to the new system and updates or verifies his or her contact information before November 22 will be automatically entered to win one of several prizes.
