Cadets of Southern Utah University's ROTC program will host their annual Ruck-A-Thon fundraiser on Thursday, November 6. Cadets will run a course through campus wearing their uniforms and carrying a weighted ruck sack. Donations, which are used to support the ROTC program, are pledged for each lap the cadets complete.

The event will begin at 2:30 pm. at the Centrum and take a course on campus sidewalks to the library, returning by way of 200 South and 900 West in Cedar City. The public is invited to come and support the cadets along the route in their effort and donations are welcome.

Major Christopher Caldwell of the University's Department of Military Science, said, "We would really like the public to come and support our cadets. The money we raise for this event is critical to effectively train the future leaders of the United States Army."

Cadet Tiffany Provost, a criminal justice major from Heber City, Utah, added, "I am really excited about the opportunity to participate in my first 'ruck.' I hope everyone comes out and supports this event to help our local university efforts."
