Anne Nobles, current Director of the Indiana University Healthcare Associates, Inc. and a director at Citizens Energy Group, will be the next presenter of the convocations series. Nobles’ presentation will be on Tuesday, September 16 in the Great Hall. Nobles will be speaking on the topic of “Individuals Matter: Making Ethics Work in Corporate America.”

She will be discussing the challenges of establishing and maintaining business ethics efforts and the rewards that come to successful individuals and companies, which can sustain their business ethics efforts. Many of her examples will come from her time at Eli Lilly. She will also offer thoughts to students about assessing the ethical culture of companies they are considering joining after graduation.

Nobles is more than qualified to speak on a topic such as this, as she has served in a variety of positions during her time with Eli Lilly & Co. including Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer, Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Manager of Public Affairs. Nobles earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in archaeology from Harvard University and a J.D. from Georgetown University. Nobles was also appointed as the first chairwomen of the Indiana Commission for Women and past chair of the advisory board of the Salvation Army of Indiana.
