Larry H. Miller to Sponsor Utah Summer Games

Southern Utah University’s Utah Summer Games announced that the Larry H. Miller Group will be the new title sponsor of the games beginning on July 1, 2016. The partnership was revealed at the Opening Ceremony on the evening of June 9 at SUU’s Eccles Coliseum. Officials are thrilled to be working with the Larry H. Miller brand.
Utah Summer Games Executive Director Casey McClellan is ecstatic with the development. “We believe this will impact the entire community, Cedar City, Iron County and the athletes across the state of Utah.”
The Larry H. Miller Group is recognized throughout the Intermountain West as a philanthropic entity that believes in giving back to the community. The reputation and support from the LHM Group will elevate the profile and awareness of the games.
“The LHM Group have always been involved in sports and sporting events across the state of Utah, and they are huge supporters of the importance of wholesome family entertainment and activities,” said McCellan. “This partnership is a perfect match for us.”

The Utah Summer Games attracts athletes of all ages and skill level from across the western United States to compete in more than 50 different sporting events. With nearly 10,000 athletes, 1,000 volunteers and 50,000 spectators, the games have become a much-anticipated tradition in Cedar City for over 30 years.

Founded in 1986 by Southern Utah University (previously known as Southern Utah State College) President Dr. Gerald R. Sherratt, the Utah Summer Games have grown into a nationally recognized association that celebrates excellence in the human spirit and healthy lifestyles through extraordinary sporting events and competition.
